“Doing sensible things is good. Inciting many other people to do sensible things is better” – Eben Upton, CEO of Raspberry Pi

Raspberry Pi Weekly

Howdy,

This week, we shared a sneak peek of an as-yet-unreleased product: the Raspberry Pi Smart Display Module, an adapter board for Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 that's set to launch later this year. Designed in collaboration with Sharp Display Solutions Europe, the Smart Display Module delivers high-quality, low-power display experiences for professional signage applications.

We also learnt how to streamline dataset creation for the Raspberry Pi AI Camera, and heard all about a smart chicken coop that uses Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W to help farmers keep their chickens safe, fed, and watered.

Elsewhere, one of our board members, Chris Mairs CBE, highlighted some unnecessary barriers to accessibility caused by traditional website CAPTCHA protections, prompting us to update our own website to simplify the newsletter subscription flow for all users.

LinkedIn users might be interested in our new newsletter, Raspberry Pi Industrial & Embedded Round-Up. The first edition went live today, and you can sign up here.

Finally, don't forget to grab the new issue of Raspberry Pi Official Magazine — out now!

Peace,

Ashley
