Raspberry Pi Weekly

Howdy,

Our latest security update for Raspberry Pi OS disables passwordless sudo by default, preventing malicious actors from hijacking systems using admin-level sudo commands. This is a new default setting designed to improve safety, but you can toggle it on and off to suit your preferences.

The internet was ablaze with cyberdecks last week — so much so that CNN reported on the trend and named yours truly (Raspberry Pi, not me) as the go-to computer for many makers taking part. In celebration of this latest flurry of internet attention, we shared some of the finest Raspberry Pi–powered cyberdecks we've featured over the years.

We love it when folks get creative with a Raspberry Pi, and Maker Monday is the perfect time to showcase this. This week, we shared some of the many ways people have put a twist on the ancient concept of telling the time.

NASA has officially joined Threads, so we had lots of fun sharing stories about the many Raspberry Pis up in space and aboard the International Space Station. Threads is nice. Friendly. Come on over.

Peace,

Ashley
