Raspberry Pi Weekly

Howdy,

This week, we were delighted to introduce Raspberry Pi Imager 2.0: a complete reimagining of the application that's been brewing in our development pot for the past year. Roughly one gazillion of you left comments and asked follow-up questions, which our engineer Tom continues to answer as fast as he can.

We also explained how to take advantage of cloud-init, which is included in the latest Raspberry Pi OS release based on Debian Trixie. It enables you to provision your Raspberry Pi images with users, network settings, storage configurations, and more before first boot on Raspberry Pi OS.

Another new thing we saw this week was the Raspberry Pi sustainability portal, which helps us to be more transparent about our sustainable practices and invites the wider Raspberry Pi community to have their say and keep us accountable.

Remember that the festive issue of Raspberry Pi Official Magazine is out now. A PDF version could be in your digital hands within seconds if you choose that option at checkout!

Nearly time to deck the halls. (No, you shouldn't have done that already.)

Peace,

Ash
